Synergy Spanish is a fantastic online Spanish language system, although it doesn't quite match up to Rocket Spanish for one main reason...price.

We liked this course for the speed it offers. If you are thinking of going to Spain or a Spanish speaking country for a short visit and want to know only the bare essentials then this is the online Spanish course for you. It does not ask you to learn really long lists and it does not ask you to learn all the Spanish grammar either. This is the guide for a traveller who needs to know the basics of the Spanish language and just enough to communicate with about anybody.

The Synergy Spanish course is divided into five sections that are designed to take you from a novice to advanced user level in no time at all. The course consists of audio lessons,and each lesson has been kept short with a maximum of 15-20 minutes. This has been done intentionally to keep the learner motivated and interested and we found this system quite effective.

FSI Programmatic Spanish is another good Learn Spanish product, although it is also consists solely of audio lessons.
Again, some people prefer or just like the idea of just listening to an audio CD to learn.

However, I think that these types of programs fall short of those that offer other materials (such as software workbooks & games) in addition to audio.
